3.5 TON CHASSIS
TO CARRY 2 HORSES REAR FACING WITH GROOMS AREA
The ideal alternative to a trailer, these vehicles can be driven on a car licence and are cheaper to tax than a 4 x 4.
Our basic models have a carrying capacity of approximatly 1200kg with up to 8ft of head room so they are suitable for even the largest of horses. A low side ramp with bright airy interior provide an inviting environment and veterinary research has shown that most horses find travelling in a rear facing vehicle less stressful.
HORSE AREA: The horse area is lined with a soft landing rubber which is exceptionally hard wearing yet soft and pliable so reducing the chance of rubbing. The breast bar wall provides an access door into the rear grooms area which can be fitted out to individual requirements. Our basic models have bench seats fitted on either side with storage underneath.
PARTITIONS & POGO STICKS: Our standard partitions are mounted on an adjustable wall bar, made from galvanised steel frame with GRP infill and rubber skirts. A headboard which swivels and locks into position once the partition is closed is available as an optional extra.
Pogo sticks are also available as an optional extra. They provide additional support for the horse and allow for greater adjustment to partition size.
TACK LOCKERS: These can be built in the grooms area with either internal or external access doors.
KITCHENS: Most vehicle designs are easily able to fit in a small gas hob, sink and even a fridge. A gas bottle can be mounted under the bench seat with external venting for safety and small water tanks with submersible pumps can be built into the units.
LUTON STORAGE: The area over the luton is ideal for storing rugs etc but is also large enough that it could be used as a single person sleeping berth. Loose items can be secured either behind GRP doors or using a caravan bunk net.

Prices for our basic model start at £10,500 + CHASSIS + VAT. Price of chassis will be dependant on age, mileage and condition of vehicle chosen. We are also happy to build on chassis supplied by the customer.
All coachbuilding comes with a 12 months return to workshop warranty and any chassis supplied by us comes with 12 months MOT, 6 months road tax and a 3 month parts and labour warranty.
